HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO REMOVE MY CEILING TEXTURE AND DO THE REPAIR AND REFINISH?

It depends on the size of your home. Usually it takes 6-8 hours. Larger homes may take longer. We can also do the removal room by room, or split it into 2 different days. Whatever is more convenient for you and your family.

WHY IS POPCORN TEXTURE PUT UP IN THE FIRST PLACE?

It was cheaper for the builder. Popcorn texture really hides a lot of imperfections, so less coats of joint compund are necessary when finishing the sheetrock joints. A few decades ago, it was in style. Some people still prefer the look of their acoustic ceilings.

I HAVE HAD A WATER LEAK, NOW WHAT?

Good for us, bad for you.  If you have had a water leak be sure that the source is located and repaired before calling us.  Generally, we set up an appointment that is convenient for the home owner to assess the situation and provide quotes as well as helpful and knowledgeable information to prevent any further damage.

I AM NOT EXACTLY SURE WHERE THE WATER IS COMING FROM, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Excellent question, as most home owners tend to panic when they see water coming from their ceilings.  A good indication if the source is from a general area is to pour food colouring of different colours into toilets, sinks, bath tubs etc to try and locate the source of the water leak. 

For instance, if you add a red dye into your toilet and you see red dye marks on the ceiling, obviously you have located the source.  Have a certified plumber come in to rectify this and have any initial repairs fixed before calling us.  DO NOT ALLOW THE PLUMBER to REPAIR the drywall as we have seen far too many disasters this way.  They are PLUMBERS, not DRYWALL EXPERTS.....
